Young people are simultaneously the most vulnerable to injustice and the most powerful force for change. The SHAZAM Foundation invests in their potential while confronting the criminal networks, structural inequities, and institutional failures that deny them a fair start.
Our Youth & Justice Mission
Justice is not a passive condition — it must be actively built and defended. For young people, the gap between the world as it is and the world as it should be is felt most acutely: in underfunded schools, unsafe neighborhoods, biased systems, and the absence of opportunity. The SHAZAM Foundation works to close that gap through direct investment in youth development and uncompromising action against the forces that exploit and harm them.
We partner with youth.gov, INTERPOL, and the Department of Homeland Security to develop programs that are evidence-based, community-rooted, and built for scale. Whether we are connecting a young person to a mentor, disrupting a human trafficking network, or reforming a juvenile justice system, our north star is the same: every young person deserves safety, dignity, and a genuine chance to thrive.

Youth Empowerment & Leadership Development
Potential is universal; opportunity is not. We connect young people — especially those from marginalized communities — to education, mentorship, leadership development, and civic engagement pathways that open doors and build lasting agency.

Young people thrive when they have caring adults, safe spaces, and meaningful opportunities. We apply youth.gov's evidence-based positive youth development frameworks to design programs that build competence, confidence, connection, character, and contribution.

The hours between 3pm and 6pm are among the highest-risk periods for youth involvement in crime and substance use. We invest in high-quality after-school and summer programs that keep young people engaged, safe, and learning.

A system that criminalizes poverty and punishes adolescent development is not a justice system — it is a pipeline. We advocate for rehabilitative, trauma-informed approaches that hold young people accountable while giving them a genuine path forward.

Hundreds of thousands of young people experience homelessness each year. We support prevention, rapid rehousing, and transitional living programs — addressing the trauma, family breakdown, and system failures that leave young people without safe shelter.

Human trafficking, cybercrime, drug trafficking, and organized criminal networks prey on the vulnerable and undermine the rule of law. We support INTERPOL-coordinated law enforcement operations and the intelligence-sharing frameworks that make cross-border prosecution possible.

Human trafficking is modern slavery. We work to identify and disrupt trafficking networks, support survivors with comprehensive services, and address the root conditions — poverty, displacement, discrimination — that traffickers exploit.
INTERPOL · DHSCybercrime Prevention & Digital Safety
The internet has become the primary arena for exploitation of young people — from online grooming and sextortion to radicalization and fraud. We support INTERPOL's cybercrime frameworks and develop digital literacy programs that protect youth online.
INTERPOL · DHSCounterterrorism & Violent Extremism Prevention
Young people are disproportionately targeted for radicalization. We support DHS-aligned prevention programs that identify and interrupt pathways to violent extremism — addressing the grievances, isolation, and ideological manipulation that recruiters exploit.
DHSBorder Security & Immigration Enforcement
Unaccompanied minors and migrant youth are among the most vulnerable populations at international borders. We work at the intersection of DHS enforcement frameworks and humanitarian obligations to ensure that security measures do not come at the cost of child welfare.
DHSCritical Infrastructure Protection
The systems that sustain modern life — power grids, water systems, financial networks — are targets for disruption. We support DHS frameworks for protecting critical infrastructure from both physical and cyber threats, with particular attention to community-level vulnerabilities.

Safe communities are built on trust. We develop programs that strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve — through transparency, accountability, shared problem-solving, and investment in the social infrastructure that prevents crime.
