Technology & Innovation
Science-Driven Solutions for a Complex World.
Every pillar of the SHAZAM Foundation's work depends on science and technology — to detect disease before it spreads, to monitor ecosystems under threat, to identify criminal networks, and to build the tools that give policymakers and communities the information they need to act. We invest in that foundation.
Our Technology Mission
Technology is the force multiplier for every other dimension of the SHAZAM Foundation's work. A conservation program without remote sensing is blind. A humanitarian response without data infrastructure is slow. A security strategy without cyber capabilities is vulnerable. We invest in the research, development, and deployment of innovations that make our other programs more effective — and that address challenges no other approach can reach.
Our technology programs draw on the nation's premier scientific institutions — NSF, NIST, ONR, NRL, AIP, and APS — and leverage SBIR/STTR pathways to bring cutting-edge research from the laboratory to the field. We are particularly focused on closing the gap between scientific discovery and real-world application, ensuring that breakthroughs in physics, materials science, and computing translate into tools that serve people and planet.
